Have you heard of "Situational Leadership"?

Ready to learn how the situational leadership model can transform your leaders?

Today we want to share with you the Situational Leadership® Model. We’ve built some of our practices on this framework and have found it invaluable; so let’s dive in deeper! This model focuses on the relationship between leaders and followers. The framework provides leaders a method to analyze each situation based on the “Performance Readiness Level” a follower shows when completing a task, function or objective. After observing, a leader can diagnose and implement the necessary amounts of relationship and task behavior to the follower to support their needs and advance development.

Leaders practices this modality use four core leadership competencies:

First, they learn how to diagnose an individual’s performance readiness to complete a task. Second they adapt leader behavior based on the diagnosis. Third they communicate an approach that followers can understand and agree to. Finally they can proceed by managing activity to work towards higher performance.

So what are the benefits of this modality? It creates a standardized language to assess performance, enables a multi-directional influence on followers, uses task specificity as a measure of performance instead of typecasting employees, empowers leaders to propel behavior change, expedites employee development, and finally it educates leaders to accurately decipher and respond to their environment.
